Housed in a restored historic Nutmeg Processing Station and inspired by an enduring Caribbean herbal tea culture, the garden of bayleaf tea room offers you memorable tea experiences and natural healing inspiration.
We have partnered with the talented chef Belinda and the Flavours of Grenada team to create a one of a kind, custom menu full of Caribbean flavours and inspiration, served with unique tea blends from the Caribbean and around the world.
For years after Hurricane Ivan destroyed much of the nutmeg trade, most of Grenada’s iconic Nutmeg Processing Stations laid abandoned. These nutmeg stations had created a wealth of income and pride for families and communities for generations.
In 2019 we acquired the lease for the first floor of the Vincennes Nutmeg Station and transformed it into our production facility for our export tea business. At that stage, our vision was to develop a tea room to share wonderful tea experiences in Grenada. Creating the tea room in a restored Nutmeg Facility was very important to us, as it honors and restores the economic legacy of the building and the community.
Welcome to the garden of bayleaf, Grenada’s first authentic tea room, offering you incredible tea experiences alongside local creativity in the tranquility of the countryside.
The garden of bayleaf is your happy place to relax, celebrate, savour unique teas and delights, and create beautiful memories with your special ones.
